1954

In the beginning of 1950s, Loda was born in Athens with timeless collections of sunglasses and eyeglasses frames...

...it becomes very quickly successful
thanks to the high quality and durability of its materials.

2005

In 2005, after a 50-year presence in the optics sector, the exceptional architect and frame maker, Bolias Georgios, acquires Loda, which until …2006… manages to keep its unique classic character and produce quality frames that stand the test of time.

Year 2020, revival

Dimitrios Kapolis, son of Stavros Kapolis -a man with first-hand knowledge of the old Athens optics style – meets Georgios Bolias and together they envisage Loda’s revival. Having both grown up in optician labs (figli di arte), they join their knowhow, experience and common love for the craft of handmade products and re-introduce a revived Loda.
